Damn, how infuriating. I remember this place differently; we were always on the safe side, it was a go-to place for decent food. Now, to be honest, I don't recognize it anymore. It seems to me they've decided to live off their old reputation and fleece outsiders. The last time I went, it was a complete and utter mess. The first courses were sloppy, with the pasta almost raw, and the meat so tough it was a pain just to cut it. And they charge you through the nose for everything, damn it!, even a liqueur like it was something special, without even a gesture of courtesy. Once upon a time, it was warm, now they just slam the wine on the table and walk away. They've stopped caring about the substance. A mortal sin, they've lost a customer and my trust. If you take a few more steps, you can eat better without slacking off.

All the dishes are delicious, and the staff is professional and attentive. The mixed grill, the cacio e pepe pici, and the delicious tiramisu are all excellent.

I ventured to Siena for the Palio and was lucky enough to have a table booked at Fonte Giusta afterwards—thanks to some local friends who insisted it was the place to go. It turned out to be the perfect spot: we sat outside surrounded by the buzzing post-race atmosphere, and before long the restaurant was completely full with people being turned away.
The service was excellent—fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Food and drinks arrived quickly, and everything felt effortless.
Since it was my first meal in Tuscany, I couldn’t resist ordering the traditional pici (handmade thick spaghetti). I chose the pici al cinghiale (with wild boar ragu) and it was absolutely outstanding—served piping hot, perfectly portioned, and bursting with flavor. I also tried my friend’s pici all’aglione (tomato and garlic sauce), which was equally incredible. Honestly, I wished I could have stayed longer in Siena just to return and try more dishes because everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelt amazing!
Next door, the restaurant also offers cooking classes, which looked like such a fun experience. Next time I’m in Siena, I’ll definitely be back—for both the meal and the class. A must-visit when in Siena!

Logré conseguir una mesa aquí después de un día ocupado de turismo.
El personal era amable y atento y la comida y el vino eran fantásticos.
Una buena selección de menú y los filetes que comimos fueron cocinados justo a nuestro gusto.
Un restaurante muy concurrido, pero el ambiente era muy frío y era el final perfecto para un día de paseo por Seina.

Groot restaurant waar een van de laatste tafeltjes konden bemachtigen.
Excellente wijnen per glas.
De charcuterie-kaas schotel (voor 2 personen) was heerlijk alsook het gegrilde kalfsvlees.
Zeker een aanrader in Siena
