TRATTORIA DUILIO In Velletri

I had been looking for a traditional restaurant that made equally traditional dishes for a long time. I don't particularly like trattorias that pass themselves off as such, but don't even have traditional Italian culinary dishes. This trattoria is traditional. Here you will find dishes such as tagliatelle with ragù, or tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The service is attentive and kind, obviously with slightly longer turnaround times during the weekend (like in any other restaurant). The interior of the restaurant boasts of very comfortable lighting, which creates a homely atmosphere. I would define it as a very relaxing environment, where you can unplug. Really good food and generous portions. I highly recommend the cheese with hay, it stuck with me.

A few minutes from the center of Velletri, along the historic Via Appia and immersed in a suggestive green setting, this restaurant represents a true gem for lovers of good food. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, ideal for an evening with friends or a special dinner. Although Saturdays and Sundays are often very crowded, the young, kind and helpful staff always manage to guarantee impeccable service. The menu is rich and varied, with dishes ranging from land specialties to seafood ones. In addition to the main proposals, a blackboard with dishes of the day surprises with off-menu options that satisfy even the most demanding palates. Among the excellences, the raw fish stand out, very fresh and delicious, and the spaghetti with clams, creamy and perfectly balanced. Not least is the famous pasta and beans, the real highlight of the house, as is the cod stew, a delight that leaves its mark. The desserts, prepared with the same care and passion, close the meal in a sublime way, confirming the chef's attention to every detail.

The environment is very well looked after and the cuisine is delicious!

New Year's Eve lunch, excellent food, delicious mushrooms. My celiac daughter had a quiet lunch with a starter. Music, kindness and excellent prices! Congratulations we will be back again!

Unfortunately I went on a Sunday and therefore it was very crowded so slow service and a very noisy environment, so-so food.

Good traditional cuisine with cheeses, raw ham, porcini mushrooms, all local. Homemade desserts. Assorted wine cellar. Service ok.

Sono stato in questo locale in occasione di un battesimo e siamo rimasti tutti scioccati per qualità, cortesia e abbondanza. Ho voluto testarlo in una serata normale, anche se il sabato è sempre un giorno complicato non adatto a test. Invece è andato tutto alla grande. Tutto speciale, proposta di menù perfetta, non 100 pagine di tutto e fatto male come si trova in molti posti. Anche i tavoli, grandi e conviviali. Bravi tutti i ragazzi che offrono il servizio in sala. Gigi oltre ad essere un bravo cuoco/chef sa come accogliere e regalare belle serate agli ospiti. A prestissimo!!
