Highly recommended. Homemade Mantuan cuisine and friendly, accommodating service. I love Mantuan fish-based rice with freshwater fish, and here you can eat in abundance at reasonable prices. The restaurant is rustic but welcoming, and the staff is very helpful, even though there's always a lot of traffic. I recommend sitting outside or in the small room if possible, as the large central room is a bit too noisy and it's difficult to hold a conversation (the only real drawback). Recommended for families and groups. Superb value for money.

I went there convinced by the other reviews but it all seemed mediocre and with a price disproportionate to what we ate: 65 euros for two samples of risotto and two pike in sauce which were portions of appetizers and not main courses.

It's the first time I've dined at this restaurant. I felt at home, I ate risotto with various combinations (local fish) and savored the traditional cuisine with delicious flavor.

The risotto selection is excellent; we ordered the full tasting menu (5 flavors), which, when paired with a dessert, is more than satisfying in terms of quantity.
The menu is extensive and offers a diverse selection of dishes, so we'll be back to try something else.
They also have outdoor seating, and they allow dogs inside.

The best frog risotto I've ever eaten. And the fried catfish and eel are also top notch!
This restaurant is simply a temple of traditional cuisine from the upper Mantua area.
The only flaw is the dim, cold lighting, which could easily be fixed.
Everything else was excellent! The waiters were also truly kind and friendly.

A traditional, historic trattoria near Mantua! Excellent!
We had a trio of risottos (frog, catfish, and minnows) and a mixed fried freshwater fish dish. We shared both dishes because the portions were so generous!
Excellent quality and very friendly staff!
