Fantastic place! We ate simple, homemade dishes that were truly DELICIOUS. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable, and the service was incredibly fast. Special praise and many compliments to the chef. A well-deserved five stars.

Everything was excellent, since the last time I was there I found the prices a bit exaggerated: 17 euros for a first course, 24 euros for a second course.

Trattoria del Teatro is one of those places that truly captures the soul of Bergamo Alta. Historic, welcoming, nestled in the heart of Città Alta, it has been run for years by Signora Adele, an attentive, kind, and always thoughtful hostess. The menu is typical of true trattorias: limited choices, all carefully curated, generous portions, and authentic flavors. Casoncelli, braised beef, polenta, rabbit... dishes cooked with love, just like family. My experience was exactly that: a simple, delicious lunch in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, where you can eat slowly and immediately feel at ease. A place I recommend to anyone who wants to experience authentic Bergamo cuisine, served with a genuine smile.

I came with my friend Falco. We had a fantastic lunch with two starters, two main courses, a dessert, unlimited water and wine, and a liqueur. The quality was incredible; I was hooked from the starter to the liqueur. The braised beef was especially noteworthy, as the lady chef proved to be unbeatable. I'll definitely be back.

A small restaurant in the upper town. We came here on a recommendation and were delighted. The staff is small, yes, but the taste and atmosphere are beyond praise. You feel like you're visiting your Italian grandmother. We definitely recommend it.

22/02/2026: We visited on Saturday evening and found the service very attentive and welcoming throughout the evening, putting guests at ease. The fixed menu features locally sourced, traditional Bergamo cuisine. The food is excellent, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients and their preparation. The evening is accompanied by a variety of music and a dance floor. Ideal for all ages. The atmosphere is cheerful yet friendly. Highly recommended, we'll be back.
