Welcome back, my dear faithful readers!!!! October 5th was the birthday of a dear friend of mine, a true sister, actually!!!! And we ate at Romolo al Porto in Anzio!!!! This week's journey was pleasant... but alas, it won't be all positive notes!!!!!!! By now, as you know, with so many readers, over 200,000, I think you'll really enjoy following me! And a little less for the owners of the places who tremble at the usual thought that a Romina can review......(-: !!!!! I would first of all like to say that the place deserves it, the staff deserves a 9 in conduct but the prices are a bit risky!!!!!! We were 6 and we were very well yes, the appetizers were truly exceptional, as the taste buds were through the roof with immense pleasure, it's really worth the trip, very expensive!!!!! The chef deserves a nice 9 as the first course, the spaghetti with clams, was exceptional and the other tasting of gnocchi and pachino could be improved (-: !!!!! It must also be said that it was packed and for this alone the chef is really strong, congratulations! The second course, the fried fish disappointed me as being in a seafood place I expect the fish to be fresh and not frozen, for that price!!!!!!! The sorbet needs to be improved, there are better companies that have a lemon ice cream 🍋 to die for, Change it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And as for the wine If Gewurztraminer was good, and we drank a whopping 6 bottles, I can't believe €30 a bottle!!! Too exaggerated for the brand, dear owner! I feel like giving you some advice... given I've been a customer for 15 years. Give more importance to what you do. On Friday night, I had the "alla grande" cooked appetizer. You delivered everything to my table in less than 15 minutes. While I was still on my second tasting, there were 10 more on the table that were getting cold, and I didn't enjoy them to their full potential. I was also forced to eat in a hurry, without fully enjoying them. At the end of 20 courses, I remember about ten, and the rest I gulped down as if I had a funnel in my mouth. This rush, on a Friday night with so many tables still to be filled, was honestly out of place. That's why I gave the service and atmosphere very poor marks, while the food remains excellent. The overall pass mark remains because I don't forget the past because of one bad night.

It's always nice to return to Romolo al Porto, a restaurant with a story that tells the story of the art of Italian cuisine... I knew Romolo and we miss him dearly, even though Walter is a worthy successor with an infinite knowledge of seafood cuisine. Places like this should never cease to exist but should be passed down because they are the history of Italian cuisine.

Dishes like you've never seen or tasted before! Creamy tagliolini with amberjack sauce, abundant and with lots of tasty amberjack, and appetizers prepared in an original way. Well, I love raw fish, and this one is unique!

I was invited and assured there would be vegetarian options. My friends loved the seafood. And I loved my pasta. A must visit for seafood lovers. The servings were large.

We relied on Romolo for a tasting experience. From the first course to the last, it was an explosion of flavors, carefully crafted and perfectly crafted. The quality of the ingredients is beyond question, but the real gem is their craftsmanship. You can sense the meticulous attention to detail in the pairings, which, in my opinion, are flawless. The dinner exceeded expectations and far surpassed the level of the most iconic high-end Asian restaurants. Kudos to the entire staff!
