Today, traveling around Sicily with my family, we decided to leave Palermo for Trattoria del Corso in Prizzi, a small village nestled in the Sicilian hinterland.
A surprising place: small, almost medieval, and incredibly charming.
We entered this trattoria and were immediately greeted by the owner, kind, courteous, and attentive to us (there were five of us). Despite the hour—it was already 2:00 PM—we were served with great care: fresh pasta, typical local sauces, everything authentic, carefully prepared, and never improvised. Every detail was attended to with passion.
The meat, uniquely delicious, exuded an authentic flavor; the service, always accompanied by a smile, made the experience even more enjoyable.
And the prices? The bill was truly reasonable, especially considering the quality: just under €100 total for five people who enjoyed pasta, main courses, and a variety of appetizers (caponata, mushrooms, cheeses, fried foods, sausages, pane cunzato, and more).
If I could, I'd give it 10 stars or more. This place absolutely deserves it: warmth, hospitality, and excellent cuisine... an extra star for that alone. Highly recommended!
