I found this place by chance on a day returning from Milan. The classic appetizer, veal with tuna sauce (very tender), was good; the tajarin with truffles was good (though, in my opinion, the Parmesan cream toned down the truffle flavor a bit); and the pork tenderloin with mustard/honey cream was good (if I remember correctly). The only small drawback was the wine served by the glass (very modest and well below the belly of the glass). In any case, I plan on returning.

We stumbled upon it by chance, everything was good but not outstanding. I had the veal with tuna sauce, good, tender... unfortunately too cold... The service wasn't quite up to par either; we were served by a young woman (she definitely didn't go to hotel management school, considering she put the cutlery on the left 🤣). She'll need to gain experience. Everything was good but could be improved. My criticism is constructive... a little more attention to detail.

Arrived in Tortona in the evening. Looking for a restaurant, I found this trattoria. Wonderful, just as it should be. No music. Starched tablecloths and napkins—no paper! All dishes prepared with skill and heart, regional, traditional, and at an incredibly good price. Thank you so much for this lovely dinner.

I discovered Trattoria del Ciccio on Tuesday, October 7th, while passing through Tortona with my family to visit relatives.
The restaurant already inspired us from the menu options visible on the map, but once we sat down, we were even more convinced. The entrance, shared with the Il Cavallino hotel-restaurant, can be misleading, but as soon as you step inside, you'll find staff at the counter to welcome you and guide you to the room on the right.
It was a relatively quiet evening; we were lucky to find a table; they kindly seated us very quickly.
The girls were quick and efficient; we ordered and shortly after were served with drinks and a cover charge, followed by the first courses.
We each chose something different, mixing appetizers, a first course, a second course, and a side dish, without leaving out a couple of desserts.
We were very pleased with both the food and the service; we will definitely return to this trattoria if we're on the road again.
As for the cost, we paid around €100 or something, I don't remember exactly. This included the dishes pictured, water, 1/2 liter of Barbera, two coffees, and a cover charge for four people.

Tavoli apparecchiato in esterno, o meglio sotto un fienile nella corte. Fresco e tranquillità, tovaglie e tovaglioli in stoffa candidi.
Aua buona carta dei vini, offerta comprensiva di mezze bottiglie e calici, abbiamo optato per una Martirella della cantina Mariotto, un ottimo mix a base freisa ad un ottimo prezzo 15€ la bottiglia.
Come antipasto una battuta di fassona servita su sedano e condita con tuotlrlo d'uovo e toma semi stagionata sbriciolati (10€). Passando agli agnolotti al vino (8€) e per secondi una tagliata (16) e un filetto di maiale imporchettato(14), come contorno patate al forno (4).
Tutto molto piacevole, eccezionali gli agnolotti in riduzione di vino.
