By far the best meal I had in a 10 days trip to Italy. The risotto was to die for and the Ossobuco was a real gem. Very nice atmosphere, good service. Highly recommended in the Cadrilatero D’Oro.

It's located close to the Duomo. The restaurant is very clean and has an elegant atmosphere. I ordered their specialty, Milanese cutlet and saffron risotto. Both were delicious and refined, and I was very satisfied. The portions were also generous and filling. There were a lot of tourists, and the prices felt a little high for a tourist destination, but they made up for it by offering high-quality food. They also had a wide selection of wines, so it would be fun to choose one to go with the food. Perhaps I was lucky with the timing, but I was able to enter without waiting, even without a reservation.

After twenty years, I meet my dear friend Doc again in Milan... A gloomy day warmed by the warmth of a fraternal embrace and the desire to taste the quintessential Milanese dish: risotto with ossobuco.
At Cantinone, practically beneath the spires of the Duomo, you can't go wrong! The refined and elegant atmosphere, with its signature dish, ignites a warm welcome. A wide selection for all palates. The wine list is also good. Dishes range from €18 to €40... that's the price of good, popular cuisine without leaving the city center.

Almost a tourist trap, as it's expensive and the quality isn't that high. The Milanese risotto didn't taste of saffron, and the cotoletta barely sat right. The cheeses were very good.
The place is very spacious but only has one bathroom.

Locale posizionato in zona centralissima che ha mantenuto sostanzialmente intatto il fascino delle trattorie di un tempo.
Non pienamente soddisfacente l'esperienza culinaria. Abbiamo preso come piatto principale un classico della cucina milanese, ossobuco con risotto, sì appetitoso ma ben lontano dalla tradizione meneghina.
Dessert un poco deludenti.
Servizio molto cordiale e prezzi nella media di Milano e della zona.
