We ate at this trattoria and were truly thrilled. We had an amazing appetizer, followed by pheasant and venison: everything was delicious, perfectly cooked, and with generous portions. Even the dessert was delicious. But it was Natasha who really made the difference. Rarely do you encounter such an attentive, cheerful, and professional waitress: she greeted us with a huge smile, gave us excellent advice, and pampered us from start to finish, offering us wonderful attention.

Historic trattoria in the historic center of Genzano. On the steps of the famous flower festival. Traditional food and more. Courtesy and kindness complement the quality. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. A small flaw: the prices are a bit high, but the owners' smiles and kindness make it worth it. Not to be underestimated: the restaurant is certified by the Italian Celiac Association (AIC).

We discovered this place about thirty years ago, when an acquaintance took us to see the Infiorata in Genzano. Since then, we've returned from Rome many times, first with small children and then over the years, for Carnival, birthdays, or just for day trips. The longtime owner, Gastone, has now passed the management to his son, but he continues to be present. Yet, despite many encounters and polite conversations over time, he passes us by without acknowledging us. To him, we are transparent, while the staff, rightly, maintains their usual standards of courtesy. The food is always good in its simplicity, and we'll probably return again. But the bitter realization remains that in this place, so full of memories for us, there's no soul.

Doing the flower festival... Special taste

We ordered pappardelle with wild boar sauce and gnocchi alla contadina. What can I say? From the photo, you can clearly see that the portion is truly minimal. This is a €14.00 dish. They didn't even bring us cheese to put on the first course, and the sauce was also tasteless. We paid €3.00 per person for service (isn't it possible to write "cover charge"?). Not recommended.

Classic Roman cuisine restaurant in a central location

We visited this restaurant and had a very good lunch. The gluten-free tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and the pork ribs were excellent. The service was fast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money.
