a trip to Draga Sant'Elia during the festival is always a surprise. A town in the Karst, far from the usual tourist routes, which overlooks the Val Rosandra, meadows, woods and a welcoming village. Certainly worth visiting

Quiet place with a beautiful view of the Val Rosandra and gulf view. Great for long walks and mountain bike rides. There are many paths, close to the cycle path.

Beautiful valley of the Trieste Karst. There are several well-marked paths. The best known is the one (called the "friendship path") which goes from San Dorligo della Valle (park for free in front of the "Val Rosandra Visitor Center" and follow the signs for the valley) to the town of Bottazzo, located on the Slovenian border. It is flat, suitable for everyone and almost all in the shade. There are several bends in the stream of the same name where you can swim in summer. The town of Bottazzo is made up of simple country houses and some no longer used water mills. There is a small tavern and, just after the bridge, in Slovenian territory, there is a small abandoned farmhouse that served as a customs house. The path continues through the woods up to the town of Cosina/Kozina in Slovenia.

A surprisingly diverse mountain region with many mountain goats. Difficult terrain in beach slippers, but unfortunately we were not prepared for overcast weather on the beach. 😆
