Highly recommended for the fish and the friendliness - if I may allow myself a suggestion, the mixed grill of fish (very evident flavors and light seasoning, never intrusive) and the breaded sardines. The place is small (a room with about 30 seats), so it's best to book (especially on Saturdays). Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer places like this in Trieste.

Typical tavern with open kitchen for all guests.
Home cooking, very refined and all done on the spot.
The menu is suitable for everyone, both those who love fish and meat.
They are nice and helpful, attentive and quick.
Very high quality, without subterfuge.
Very valid prices.
Once you've tried it, you have to come back.
And every time you come back you always discover a new dish to try.

Simple and familiar environment. Not from Trieste and posted at the moment, welcomed warmly. I stained my shirt with sauce and the landlady noticed it immediately, she put talcum powder on the stain and gave me an apron to put on, as if we were at a friend's house. Simple but very tasty dishes, I don't think I've ever eaten such tender calamari. Very honest prices.

Highly recommended!!! It is one of the most historic trattorias known only by locals. Real homemade fish cuisine but of extreme quality. The only place that made breaded and fried Guatto fillets (guatto is a small fish that is very tasty but full of bones). Excellent quality Collio wine in bulk.
The real baccalá creamed with pure dried cod, oil and a lot of manual work (now almost impossible to find).
What will be proposed to you as a menu will always be very fresh and cooked with ancient wisdom.
For wives... I recommend their Terrano liqueur... they will love it... sweet and alcoholic just the right amount... preparatory to intimacy as a couple.
The only flaw...only for lunch. But lunches that can take a little longer. To be able to eat and drink without haste and stress, for those who have time.
I forgot: in addition to fish there are traditional meat dishes such as gnocchi or their famous Lubianske...also worth trying

A stone's throw from the heart of San Giacomo, one of the most popular areas of Trieste, here is this trattoria where you can eat a fabulous seafood risotto. A real neighborhood trattoria with a familiar but attentive and precise service, as well as truly friendly, for an experience to be repeated.

You are welcomed, you eat what is now difficult to find, dishes made as they once were, with the same care and passion.
