Small but welcoming restaurant. The owners are really kind and friendly; obviously being only a chef the dishes do not arrive immediately, but this does not mean that you remain on an empty stomach for long. Typical, good quality dishes at a more than fair price.

You eat well and pay little. Traditional cuisine without frills but satisfying. I recommend the Scaldeo-style mussels only in summer.

26/08/2025: The fish is cooked fresh, so as stated at the entrance, it's not a place for those in a hurry. The atmosphere is lovely.
26/08/2025: A seafood restaurant with super friendly service, absolutely reasonable prices, and excellent food. The terrace has a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a pleasant evening.

19/06/2025: Delicious pasta and focaccia. It's on the main street, but still recommended. Good white wine.
18/06/2025: Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."
