Trattoria da Sabatino In Castel di sangro

21/08/2025: We had lunch at this fraschetta and had one of the best carbonaras we've ever tasted. For our second course, we had arrosticini, which were also delicious. My compliments for the quality of the cuisine, simple yet delicious.

18/08/2025: We had lunch at this trattoria on August 16th. The friendly owner welcomed us and sat us down at a table, even though we hadn't booked. The place is cozy, like a typical Roman trattoria, with a blackboard listing all the day's specials. We ordered two first courses, two side dishes, eight arrosticini, and a dessert. The food was good, but the final bill was a surprise. The owner wrote down the total on a piece of paper, apologizing for not having ordered receipt pads and for the fact that the POS wasn't working because he'd had no internet the day before. Honestly, I thought it was a good excuse. I definitely won't be returning due to the lack of transparency and the fact that they took undeclared payments, with prices significantly higher than those listed on the blackboard.
