We celebrated a small birthday and would have been happy with the food. The waitresses were very friendly.

A very pleasant trattoria with a refined and welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are delicious and well-prepared, and you can sense the attention to quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a positive experience.

They were very kind and recommended meat and vegetables to me and I found them very good.

The atmosphere was very simple, like a classic trattoria, the welcome was incredible, and the wait was incredibly short. I ordered an incredible pasta dish, typical of the area. It was a kind of tortelloni stuffed with a Parmesan fondue, and I was completely satisfied with that dish alone. But then I had the braised beef cheek served on a bed of potato puree, which was like savory Chantilly cream... The cheek melted in my mouth like butter... I can honestly say it was a culinary delight unlike anything I'd ever experienced before...

This was my first restaurant in Bologna. The stylish, homey atmosphere was relaxing. I tried the Bologna specialty pasta. The meat-filled pasta was flavorful with every bite, and the soup was light yet rich. I also had a side dish of potatoes, which were exquisitely seasoned and deliciously fluffy. I was full so I didn't have time for dessert, but there was a delicious selection of sweets on offer. It's close to the station, so I definitely recommend checking it out.

Very good. Not in the Centre of Bologna but close to the station and the hotel I was staying in. Really good bread & pasta Ragu, 1/2ltr of local wine and had a lovely flan for dessert. Charming service

I had dinner at Osteria da Romano here in Bologna, and I must say it was a truly satisfying culinary experience. If you're looking for the substance and authentic flavors of Emilian tradition, you're in the right place. 🍽️ The Food: I ordered the meat dish with mashed potatoes (the one you see in the photo) and it was literally heartwarming. The meat was incredibly tender: you didn't even need a knife; it melted in your mouth. The braised beef flavor was intense and enveloping, accompanied by a velvety mashed potatoes that perfectly absorbed all the sauce. Comfort food cooked to perfection. 😊 The Service: The staff are the real added value. They welcomed us with that typical Bolognese warmth that makes you feel immediately at home, not just customers but welcome guests. The service was fast, attentive, and always with a smile. Truly impeccable. 🪑 The Atmosphere: If I had to find a small flaw, I'd say the decor seems a bit dated. The place could perhaps use a refresh to make it more welcoming and in line with the quality of the dishes they serve. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but honestly... when faced with such good food, aesthetics definitely take a back seat! In conclusion: I will definitely return to Romano's. When you eat so well and are treated so kindly, the decor doesn't matter much. Highly recommended.
