For a restaurant it is too expensive. 4 of us ate first and second courses each with a very small appetizer for 4. All food from the land menu, we spent €190. I could understand this figure in a fresh fish restaurant. We definitely won't be back.

100% traditional restaurant. It has been run by an older woman and her children since 1972. The pasta is spectacular and the prices are very reasonable. I especially recommend the carbonara, I will not try another one like it again.

La trattoria è arredata stile anni 80' tipo trattoria di quartiere che non è male. Ha diversi tavoli all'aperto sulla piazza di S Francesco d'Assisi, A pranzo batte il sole e fa decisamente caldo anche sotto gli ombrelloni. Di sera è certamente meglio con una atmosfera più intima, anche se il traffico si fa sentire. Personale fin troppo cordiale di stampo romanesco. I primi piatti sono un po'deludenti come sapore e cottura e scarsi come quantità. I prezzi in compenso sono più bassi della media di Trastevere. La qualità ed il servizio potrebbero migliorare. Da ritornarci.

In Trastevere, an excellent place to enjoy good typical dishes. Very nice and friendly service. As an appetizer, a good pecorino cheese with aubergines in oil. As for first courses, the Gricia with rigatoni and anchovies and pecorino always with rigatoni is very good. The osso buco with sautéed chicory is sublime. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.

One word… “AMAZING!” From the time we met Simone’ in front of the cozy restaurant, we could tell this was a special place! We had walked nearly 20,000 steps throughout the day. We are staying in the nearby Hotel San Francesco and didn’t have the energy to walk very far. Simone’ walked us to an outside table beside the building. He made fabulous recommendations, yet still gave us menus so we could choose for ourselves if we’d like. From the antipasti, the fried calamari, the bread, our entrees which were grilled lamb for my wife, ravioli with ricotta & spinach for me. He Also brought me a plate of chicken with sauce & peppers. All magnificent! To end our meal, he treated us with an amazing ricotta cheesecake with chocolate & blueberries! Everything was absolutely fantastic. We had great interactions with Simone’ throughout the evening which also included our drink orders. Local Italian beers for me and a special spritz for my wife. He treated us like a close friend. We asked him to join us in a picture in front of the restaurant before saying goodbyes, hugging & calling it a night. We highly recommend this magnificent restaurant in Trastevere! ❤️
