I tried this restaurant during the weekend I spent in Rome for the Lazio-Inter match, having booked a week in advance on TheFork. The staff were very friendly and helpful, thanks in part to the owner's hospitality. He offered me a carbonara with paccheri pasta, freshly made by them. It was truly sublime, super. For my main course, I had the oxtail stew. It was good, but not to my personal taste. I don't understand the negative reviews. It's not true that the portions are small; look at the photos. We had a great time and I recommend it. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because it's located on the outskirts, very isolated, and because we paid €6 for the coffee sorbet. Otherwise, the prices are fair, everything is fine.

It's not the first time I've eaten at Burro e Sugo, but I've noticed that the portions have gotten quite small over the years. There were two of us and we had two Neapolitan bruschettas (exquisite), a cacio e pepe, and paccheri carbonara. We paid a total of €40. We had 12 paccheri and five pieces of non-crispy guanciale. The cream, on the other hand, was exceptional. The cacio e pepe was good, but definitely too little. The service was €2.50 per person, without even a piece of bread at the table. When you sit down at a trattoria, you don't usually expect to leave hungry. So, on the other hand, the food is good, but let us eat, not a €15 plate of pasta!

They seemed a bit confused. They forgot a dish they wanted to add to the bill. I looked for salt myself because I didn't hear it. Service was €10. The portions were small (pasta and clams in bowls), but expensive. A standard supplì was €4, a half a glass of house white wine, two 1-liter bottles of water, two cups of pasta with clams, a small bowl of seafood salad, a zucchini flower, a white focaccia, and a plate of fried anchovies—all for €90.

The meat and pasta dishes are good. Tripe and carbonara are special. The tonnarelli, sea bass with truffle, and pecorino are out of this world. Recommended.

Returning to this trattoria was a real pleasure. In a charming, quiet corner of the San Paolo neighborhood, you can rediscover the pleasure of savoring traditional Roman dishes. Everything is truly delicious, and you feel truly pampered.

I had a great meal; the pappardelle with wild boar, grandma's meatballs, tiramisu, and focaccia were all excellent. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!

This trattoria was a wonderful surprise. I had a delicious cacio e pepe, and the tripe was so soft it melted in my mouth. The staff was welcoming and super attentive to their customers' needs. The desserts are truly delicious, like the crema catalana, which tastes homemade, and the gelato affogato con l'amaro is truly delicious!
