Old style trattoria with lunch menu and à la carte menu on request. Horse meat reigns supreme in this restaurant, which has always been specialized and supplied by the trusted butcher shop located practically next door. I also tasted other dishes based on beef, pork, cold cuts and cod and I promoted them from first to last. Friendly, fast and professional service, a mandatory stop for anyone passing through the area.

It had been years (I think 15 or maybe even twenty) since I had been to this restaurant 🍽 and, also for this reason, I chose it for a reunion with friends that we organized some time ago. We arrived there (with a reservation 📞) around 9.15 pm, therefore slightly late, then waiting for the last "desaparecidos" 👩🏻‍🦱👩🏼‍🦱 who were still on the street. We still sat at the table and ordered something to drink while waiting. Looking at the room, I immediately noticed how it was exactly the one I remembered, totally unchanged (except perhaps the orange 🟠 color of the plaster instead of white); this pleasantly surprised me, given that the old "old-fashioned" trattorias tend to disappear more and more nowadays. Finally, at 9.30 pm 🕤 past we managed to order our dinner; apart from the mixed cold cuts (served together as an appetizer), I opted for a first course with bigoli "al sugo di cavallo" 🍝 and a second course based on horse stew with polenta. All really good and tasty, with genuinely home-made preparation just as I remembered it. Some people also tried other things, like the bigoli panna/sfilacci and the straeca 🥩; also in this case full satisfaction. To conclude we had some mixed slices of cake 🍰 (including the so-called "della nonna" which I always appreciate) and coffees ☕. The staff members were very kind and friendly, especially the boy 🧑🏻 who served us at the table. For me it was not a discovery but a PLEASANT CONFIRMATION. LOCATION APPROVED 👌 AND RECOMMENDED 👍.
