Incredible experience, excellent, high-quality food, appetizers featuring cured horse meat, generous first courses, and meat-based second courses with classic Venetian side dishes.
The meat was perfectly cooked.
The desserts were also delicious.
What I appreciate most in a restaurant or trattoria is a classic, minimalist menu—not too many things, just a few options, but high-quality, and at Ottavo you can find exactly that.
I'll be back!

A very typical, old-school trattoria. Simple, with checked tablecloths, but this is precisely what gives the place its unique character. The service is simple but efficient. The food is very good. The highlight is horse meat in all its forms. For those with a softer heart, there are alternatives to horse meat, such as chicken and beef. I recommend it to everyone. Very fair prices.

Invited for an evening, I had never been there, and I regret not having discovered it before, especially because for years I passed in front of it on my way to work and was unaware of its existence. An old-fashioned atmosphere, which I like a lot also because they are increasingly disappearing, small but well-kept and with a nostalgic flavor of the past... excellent food based on horseback, starting from the appetizer I had, up to the abundant fillet, delicious, cooked to perfection rare like I can no longer find anywhere, very tasty and above all like butter... a delight for the palate. All accompanied by good wine. The desserts are also good. Highly recommended
