The restaurant has a simple ambiance, but the food is truly excellent! Excellent polenta and elaborately braised dishes, delicious Bergamo pasta with sage, and fantastic sauces!
We were very surprised – in my opinion, it's an insider tip in the heart of Bergamo's old town.

By far the best meal we had in Bergamo- we went back twice. The owners are lovely and friendly, the pasta was absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Can’t recommend enough.

Ottimo pranzo tipico. Fa pochi piatti ma bene. Antipasto di salumi, affettati e polenta, per primo fa i casoncelli bergamaschi con burro salvia e pancetta. Stop. Ma li fa veramente buoni. Bel locale con dehor esterno e proprietà molto cordiale

A restaurant in the pure tradition of the Italian trattoria, offering typical Lombard dishes and wines. A welcoming reception and friendly staff.
In short, we had a wonderful time there, ready for our visit to the old town.

A true hidden gem!
Tucked away in a charming courtyard, this place boasts a beautiful terrace and incredibly attentive service. The polenta was absolutely divine creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It was served with the most tender meat that practically melted in your mouth. Definitely a spot you’ll want to return to!

Absolutely solid cuisine. Perfect for a short, inexpensive, typical and tasty dönch. The service is probably a bit inattentive due to the high volume. But all in all it's good value for money. The hare, polenta, the cheese plate, the mixed salad, the house wine, the bread: all very fine, solid and inexpensive. Can you go there?

When you plan a walk in the Upper Town in advance, you need to make a reservation for lunch. Today is Sunday 30 March 2025.
It's 12.25pm, I'm about to cross the entrance threshold while the other diners head towards the back room to admire the view of the rock, I show up at the Sala meter, who welcomes me, asking me if we had booked. I reply, I'm PELLEGRINO, please, your table is there.
I can and warn the diners.
Let's all come in and take a seat.
They hand us the menus.
Among the many dishes of the day, we choose.....
We savor what is served to us with gusto.
The meats, cheeses and smooth Polenta and Taragna reign supreme, everything is enriched by a good 🍷 house red.
For the damsels, some still filtered water, excellent for delicate digestion......
I thank Mrs Rosa and the owner for their kind sharing of culinary dishes from different but similar popular ethnic groups between Albania and Italy.
