When you plan a walk in the Upper Town in advance, you need to make a reservation for lunch. Today is Sunday 30 March 2025.
It's 12.25pm, I'm about to cross the entrance threshold while the other diners head towards the back room to admire the view of the rock, I show up at the Sala meter, who welcomes me, asking me if we had booked. I reply, I'm PELLEGRINO, please, your table is there.
I can and warn the diners.
Let's all come in and take a seat.
They hand us the menus.
Among the many dishes of the day, we choose.....
We savor what is served to us with gusto.
The meats, cheeses and smooth Polenta and Taragna reign supreme, everything is enriched by a good 🍷 house red.
For the damsels, some still filtered water, excellent for delicate digestion......
I thank Mrs Rosa and the owner for their kind sharing of culinary dishes from different but similar popular ethnic groups between Albania and Italy.

Returning after many years, Ornella did not disappoint me.
I opted for the Casonsei, good but a little greasy and for the main course (25 euros) good and plentiful. A point of merit for the polenta taragna. Good house wine.
The environment is old fashioned but quiet.
The service so-so.
I recommend it.

Very unique and welcoming environment, excellent food and generous portions! Despite being in the center of the upper city the prices are honest! The main dish is recommended and, as shown in the photo, it is really rich! Compliments!

Typical Bergamo restaurant from times gone by, the place is small but very welcoming. Polenta taragna, sautéed mushrooms and above all the tasting plate - made up of some excellent dishes based on chicken, rabbit and polenta - are essential for me every time I go there... highly recommended!

Abbiamo preso il piatto unico misto con polenta taragna, polenta gialla, pollo, coniglio e funghi tribolato. Ottima cucina e ottimo servizio. Buono anche il vinello della casa.

Parece tan atractivo por dentro como por fuera. Situado frente a una pequeña iglesia hermosa, una pequeña fuente pintoresca y lo que parece un restaurante cerrado permanentemente.
Nunca había tenido conejo antes, pero como era una especialidad local decidí probarlo. Fue muy bueno, pero demasiados huesos para mi gusto. Aunque lo disfruté, siento que es poco probable que vuelva a probar el conejo. Tenía Casoncelli, la versión local de los ravioles que es omnipresente. Ella pensó que estaba bien, pero nada espectacular. Añadiendo una botella de Valcalepio rojo, el daño llegó a 62€. 50 .
Nuestra primera comida en Bergamo, y un buen comienzo.
