Historic restaurant located in the historic center of Ferrara. We had pumpkin cappellacci (a little sweet), handmade egg tagliolini with butter and truffle (very fragrant), and vitello tonnato (it was worth it but I would have expected a few more bites); we finished with the Ferrara tagliatelle cake: it disgusted me as it was too cloying.

Sarò un ferrarese un po’ complicato, consigliato di venire in questo posto per i buoni cappellacci, ovviamente ho ordinato cappellacci. Buoni ma non ottimi, sarà il mio gusto il mio palato l’abitudine a mangiarli in casa ma non ho trovato l’eccezionalità del gusto del cappellaccio ferrarese. In più il prezzo per pinzini e salume e 4 piatti di cappellacci, acqua ed un dolce oltre 30€ a testa.

Locale tipico ferrarese che offre una buona scelta di primi e una discreta quantità di vini. Ho provato come antipasti il tagliere di affettati e pinzini che è stata la parte che ho apprezzato di più, un po' meno i tortellini quest'ultimi buoni ma il brodo era poco sapido. Il vino invece era ok

Pizzeria Le Fate

06/07/2024: It's obvious why Le Fate is so popular. Not a lot of seating room, but it wasn't too busy when we went around 7pm on a Tuesday. Option for an English menu (QR code on the wall) to make things extra easy. Also can help yourself to a cutlery packet if needed. Lovely, cheerful staff that made great food even better!
24/06/2024: I have been frequenting the takeaway Pizzeria Le Fate since they opened, so for 14 years! EXCELLENT Pizza. Quality ingredients. There are many pizzas on the menu, for all tastes, and even more! Girls certainly don't lack imagination! I then always take it in "pulled" format!!! a slap of pizza that never ends, and the good thing is that it has a light dough, so it doesn't stay on your stomach, and you don't have to drink all night😋! My favorite is the classic calzone (obviously pulled) with additional frankfurters and tomato inside and out 😂. Keep it up!!!
