A typical restaurant on the Trieste Karst plateau. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is exceptionally polite and friendly. People like them are rare.

We just love it here. Home made food at top quality, fantastic deserts, atmosphere, friendly staff. We will always come back. Grazie !

The staff is very friendly. And that alone is a great thing. Excellent quality. I noticed that many of the customers are local, which is a very positive sign. Definitely worth trying again.

Trattoria Da Mauro in Basovizza is one of those places you'll want to return to. In the morning, you'll find perfectly prepared meatballs, at lunch a home-style first course, and in the evening, meat dishes with side dishes and sauces that finish on their own, without you even realizing it. Everything is good, simple, and authentic. An old-fashioned trattoria, just like it used to be. And then there's the location: Basovizza, just outside (or just inside) Trieste, far from the impossible parking and restaurants with 20 cm between tables. Here, you can breathe, eat well, and truly relax.

Everything was excellent, top-quality ingredients, classic Trieste cuisine. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, the place was spotlessly clean, and the price was fair. Congratulations!
