We have been eating here for 40+ years, either grabbing a coffee and granita in the morning or the amazing seafood for lunch, or the delicious pizza at night. This summer we even did the trifecta. Bottom line, you’re across the street from the beach, so there is usually a nice breeze, also it’s a beach vibe if you’re in a rush getting something to take away might be best.
The seafood is amazing, fresh and very good selections. The pasta al lo scoglio is amazing!

Pleasantly retro, it arouses emotions and memories of past, simple, true summers. The materials used are good and sincere, as is the menu. Satisfying view. Adequate and courteous staff. Reasonable price. Large outdoor area, covered, pleasant. Well-executed, simple, traditional dishes. Not bad for a tasty lunch or dinner. It is worth mentioning a splendid Messina stockfish, abundant and juicy. The house wine is good. Reasonable price for the quality.

At Matteo's you feel at home and dinner is an experience you will remember with pleasure until your next visit! Quality, freshness and excellent cuisine are the basis of the judgment, as it is a restaurant. Personally I add the feeling of harmony with the place and with the staff: well done! We will return before ending our holiday in Sicily.

Excellent quality food, the da Matteo restaurant is exactly what I expected from a Sicilian restaurant by the sea, somewhat casual service but excellent dishes, I recommend the mixed fry, the spaghetti with seafood and the octopus

Durante la nostra giornata di mare a San Gregorio, ci siamo fermati in questo bar ristorante per una pausa caffè di metà mattinata.
Vista la cordialità del proprietario, abbiamo deciso di prenotare un tavolo anche per pranzo.
Menu molto vario, con specialità di terra e di mare.
Noi abbiamo optato per un ottimo primo piatto al nero di seppia, una spigola arrosto e un merluzzo panato arrosto.
Tutto davvero molto buono e, cosa non da poco, accompagnato da un ottimo servizio.
Ottimo anche il compromesso qualità prezzo.
