We booked this restaurant based on the many positive reviews and I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by the dinner. Excellent food, fresh and well-prepared ingredients, very good wines, bitters and grappas, of which the owner is a great expert. I really appreciated that they brought the bottle of good oil to the table at the beginning of the dinner, I think it is always a welcome attention towards the customer. Rustic and traditional environment, but well-kept and very clean. Kind, attentive and never intrusive staff. Since we were celebrating a hen party, the owner stopped to chat and was very kind. If I have to find a very small flaw in the dinner, I would have liked the tagliatelle (very good without a doubt) to be slightly juicier, but it is a question of personal taste and they were excellent anyway, like everything else. Honest and competitive prices for the city. For all these reasons, I recommend the visit!

Excellent trattoria. Meat quality far above average. We ate a 1.3kg Florentine steak cooked very well. Before the excellent crostoni al pepato. Very kind and fast waiting staff, wine list with a very clear Tuscan bias and quality cellars, with more than fair markups.

Always a guarantee!!! I've been so many times that they've become like family 🤗 among the few who still make the real Florentine cuisine of the past

Felt welcomed from the minute we stepped into Da Ginone - the servers were friendly and kind. My husband had the steak Florentine, it was delectable - I ate more of this than I thought I would as I’m sometimes picky about undercooked meat. The steak was cooked perfectly and came out with a gorgeous presentation; it had its own small table adjacent to our seats. We split the white beans which were flavorful with a great olive oil. I had the pesto pasta which came out very hot - the pesto was yummy. Only caution is most of the diners are tourists / English speakers. We had made a reservation. Overall, recommend this restaurant for a classic meal in Firenze!

Fantastisk restaurant. God mat og fin atmosfære. Var på restaurant ukes tur i Firenze, og var her å spiste 2 ganger. Spør etter den beste grappen, og fantastisk dessert. Selvfølgelig glutenfrie alternativer.
