Phenomenal traditional dishes, no American-style fare, no gourmet bullshit.
Here you eat deliciously and in abundance, drink well, and laugh heartily. There's no better trattoria in Mantua, guaranteed! Low prices and quality like a lunch at a grandmother who wants to pamper you.

We visited this trattoria for dinner. We immediately felt at home thanks to the informal atmosphere and the friendly owners. The food was excellent and the prices were very fair. We will definitely be back.

A trattoria of the olden days, like few others.
Traditional, well-cooked food and friendly staff.
If you order à la carte, and not with a business lunch, the prices are a little above average without being excessive.
It was a nice discovery.

I read the reviews and, intrigued, went for a meal. It's a small trattoria with well-executed local dishes and a friendly atmosphere. Everything was delicious, but the macaroni with donkey stew was absolutely delicious...not to mention the desserts. We'll definitely be back.

We braved the fog to arrive here, drawn by the menu and the rustic feel. We found what we were looking for: a true Mantuan restaurant. It's a shame we weren't hungry enough to try more dishes; we were spoiled for choice. I can recommend the donkey stew, the carp fillets, the exceptional persimmon sorbet, and the sbrisolona cake with zabaglione. If we have the chance, we'll be back.

Mantuan tradition on the table.
Da Ginen is a monument to cuisine. From agnolini to snails and sbrisolona, every dish is a tradition.
The rustic courtyard is pure poetry: dining here should be under the patronage of UNESCO.

We were passing through, the place was recommended by Google Maps.... I have to say that we ate very well, everything was homemade, Barbara was super nice, we will definitely be back.
