I haven't been there in years, but it seems the food quality has gone downhill. The waiters are hasty and cold; they drag chairs around to set up tables, clear the table while someone is still eating, take orders while they're serving other tables, and so on.

Friendly staff, excellent and plentiful food. I left Empoli and arrived in Gorizia by chance, but after discovering this restaurant it would be worth leaving Empoli to return and eat there.

A guarantee, every time I go!!! Excellent and generous dishes... you have to curb your appetite or your stomach won't hold up!!! (If you can't stomach it, there's always an automatic doggy bag at the end of the meal!!) Impeccable and very fast service! Simple and youthful atmosphere. The only (unwritten) rule...SHARE DISHES!!! Reservations are absolutely essential, otherwise it's hard to find a table!!

Be careful what you order; one portion can feed 4 people. This place is famous for its portions, which are generous to say the least. The quality is quite good, and the prices are decidedly reasonable for the portions. A must.

Se passi per Gorizia non puoi non fermarti e mangiare da Gianni. Arrivati ci hanno accolto con gentilezza e subito ci hanno fatto accomodare, ogni tavolo trova il menù appeso alla parete sul proprio posto non si sbaglia! Chiaramente guardandoci i torno rimaniamo scioccati dalle porzioni dei vicini, optiamo per la famosissima lyublyanska (sapendo già che sarebbe stata anche il pranzo a casa del giorno dopo) e per un piatto di gnocchi con sugo goulash. Tutto buono buono. Consigliamo vivamente sia per la qualità, per la quantità e per i prezzi. Ottima posto!

Sono di Gorizia Gianni per me è un istituzione mi sono sempre trovata molto bene il cibo poi è una garanzia. Molte volte prendo cibo per asporto sempre OTTIMO

09/11/2025: What can I say... It's dangerous: it's addictive! I'm an elderly traveler from Bologna with some restaurant experience... Well, I accidentally discovered this little gem... Simple cuisine with top-quality ingredients, you really taste the sea in every dish. It now forces me to detour when I pass through Friuli Venezia Giulia those three or four times a year.
07/11/2025: Exceptional food and service! Sensational seafood! The octopus was incredibly soft and tender! We were thrilled!
