Finding myself in the Trieste neighborhood of Rome, I stopped at this family-run trattoria, which I'd heard about before. The location is very rustic and simple, with paper tablecloths and the daily specials written on a large chalkboard. I wanted to order a classic amatriciana, but my eye fell on the dish of the person sitting next to me, who had ordered spaghetti with tuna and sauce. Inspired by that succulent dish, I opted for the same spaghetti. It was a good choice, as they were truly delicious, with a generous portion. Baked potatoes, apple pie, and a good coffee rounded out the meal, for just over €20. I'll definitely return, trying a typical Roman first course and perhaps, if offered that day, a delicious chicken with peppers.

A great Roman trattoria, just like it used to be. Good, unfussy food, just like simple, authentic Roman food should be, with no fancy embellishments. The owners' service is what gives this place its authentic Roman touch. The atmosphere is truly that of a Roman trattoria right on Corso Trieste, surrounded by many other restaurants, some of which are upscale, but this place is just like it used to be, with no frills and no frills. A great place for Romans and tourists alike, who can experience and feel like Romans in a true Roman trattoria. Well done.
