A typical Roman trattoria, good, traditional food, a welcoming atmosphere, and moderately high prices for a trattoria. A flaw in the welcome and friendliness. Room for improvement.

Nice place. Excellent food, amatriciana, carbonara, cacio e pepe, whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. They all have added value. Excellent. Excellent service, kind and nice people, 10 out of 10.

The second courses were very good, and I recommend them for typical Roman cuisine that tastes like a family Sunday. The rigatoni all'amatriciana, however, was undercooked and couldn't match the quantity of cacio e pepe served at the adjacent tables, and it lacked that touch of crispy guanciale. The tiramisu served at almost every adjacent table was good, however. The waiter service was good.

Our first night in Rome we had the pleasure of visiting Da Danilo! It was recommended by a friend who is a Roman native and it didn’t disappoint. The zucchini flowers were recommended by the staff and they were so flavourful! I thoroughly enjoyed the carbonara, it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted and I don’t think it will ever be beaten! I wish we could have gone for a second time but I will be back 100% the next time I visit Rome! We arrived 5-10 mins before opening so we’re very lucky to get a great table without a reservation. You won’t ever regret eating at Da Danilo!

Cenato con amici in questa trattoria che propone la tipica cucina romana (mi raccomando la prenotazione!): ambiente rustico (eravamo nella sala sotto il livello stradale), staff efficientissimo e gentile, cibo di ottima qualità! Ordinato il carciofo alla romana come antipasto: dolcissimo, tenero, squisito! Sublime la carbonara (al dente) gustata quale portata principale così come i tonnarelli cacio e pepe assaggiati da un commensale. Ottimi anche i dolci! Alla fine i 39 euro spesi a testa rispecchiavano appieno il servizio e l’ottima cucina! Bravi!

10/09/2025: Chose this restaurant to close our Rome trip and also celebrate my mom’s birthday. Staff was made us feel comfortable, and made my mom’s special day so memorable. Food was very good, and staff was very attentive, with an inviting spirit. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it for others! We had burrata with tomatoes, fried calamari, fettuccini Alfredo with truffles and caviar, steak with pate and caviar everything was just absolutely delicious!
09/09/2025: Ia definitely to go place. Makes quite a show, specially the alfredo pasta with truffles. Don’t expect to be the best pasta in the world because it is super basic overcooked pasta with butter and cheese…but the show (they explain they story of Alfredo to every single guest)is worth the visit.

12/10/2025: It's okay, but I didn't fly. Everything was pretty good, but the tiramisu was disappointing, and the bruschetta with tomatoes was too greasy.
12/10/2025: Nothing special, the waiter doesn't speak Italian, the pasta is way overpriced... the service is very high. Dishes are often returned from the table to the kitchen, overcooked food, the wrong dishes are served at the table... Better to go to a trattoria in the middle of nowhere. There, the food will definitely be more home-made, the waiters will be more attentive, and the prices are very reasonable.
