It is always said that we return to where we had a good time... and it is precisely for this reason that the Trattoria da Danilo has become a fixed stop for us when we go to Rome and one of our favorite places... the atmosphere is familiar and it is that of a typical Roman trattoria that makes you feel at home, the service is always attentive and courteous (a heartfelt thank you to Stefano and Andrea), the welcome from the owner Danilo is always warm, the selection of wines is excellent and above all, the kitchen it is excellent and authentic... true Roman cuisine... congratulations to the whole team in the kitchen! This time I betrayed "His Majesty" the Carbonara for some wonderful tagliolini with white truffle... the dark artichoke with parmesan fondue and Morolo steak was also exceptional, the tartare was excellent and very well seasoned and the oxtail was tasty and very tender... the oxtail was also excellent Mater Matuta Casale del Giglio 2018 wine (Syrah and Petit Verdot) that Andrea recommended to us! Well done! A heartfelt thank you to Danilo for his availability and kindness! We will definitely see each other again the next time we return to Rome…

La carbonara più buona di sempre ! Gentile ed amichevole il servizio ,posto carino ed accogliente . Perché solo 3 punti e mezzo ? Prezzo nella media . Unica stonatura al momento di pagare la signora alla cassa un po' troppo asciutta e scontrosa ... Ma sono fatti suoi ! Forse perche' abbiamo pagato con la carta ? Ma !

Everything was good, although the carbonara without pecorino was a little bland. I was with foreign friends, but I'm Italian and at least they could have asked if I liked pecorino. I was a little disappointed, next time I'll ask, instead of taking it for granted. Friendly and quick staff. Tasty tiramisu

Probamos este restaurante durante nuestro viaje a Roma La comida era muy buena un poco en el lado caro y muy rústico. Bebida también muy cara A mi marido le cobraron 14€ por una pinta de cerveza que era bastante caro. Dicho esto, el personal de camareros estaba muy contento. La señora de la caja no era muy amable.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like family. But let's talk about the food. We opted for their famous pasta cooked in a wheel of Pecorino Romano cheese, and it was simply phenomenal. Watching the skilled chef expertly swirl the pasta in the hollowed-out cheese wheel was a show in itself. The result? A creamy, cheesy, perfectly al dente masterpiece that I'll be dreaming about for months to come. Honestly, the whole experience was just perfetto. Trattoria da Danilo delivers on all fronts: delicious food, fantastic service, and a genuine Roman atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and add this to your must-visit list in Rome. You won't regret it!

If you want to eat Roman food, Trattoria Da Danilo is the right place. Nice environment full of memories. The service was pleasant, the waiter friendly and ready to make a joke. Really fun! The food... what can I say... FABULOUS. From meatballs amatriciana, to Roman artichoke, carbonara and cacio e pepe. But the dessert was also really good. The bill is slightly high, but if you just want to have a good first course, water and coffee, the price is more than fair. An evening worth repeating.

Small but welcoming place, we were seated upstairs but I recommend downstairs for intimacy and tranquility, excellent first courses, the cacio e pepe a little small in quantity (photo) but of excellent workmanship. Friendly and helpful staff
