we took a chance on this place as we had to meet someone in calci. We nearly gave up as parking was tight and there was possibly space only for 10 cars or so. However, we are glad we made the effort. It is a small nondescript place. it is a husband and wife joint and I suspect that both are well into their 70s. There were lots of michelin stickers on the door from before 2017 ... so, it had some glory days ... .
The woman cooks and the man works the shop front. Between the two of them, they managed to churn out really good wholesome food for the small lunch crowd - all locals by the looks of things. we ordered two primi (pasta dishes) and shared a main (grilled squid) plus a dessert and two coffees and the bill came up to 50 euros which I think is very reasonable for the quality of the food served. serving was generous and while nothing screams 'gourmet' - the food was honest and good. The grilled squid was in fact one of the best I've had. very fresh and tender ... so hard to get squid cooked to such perfection. I would make a trip there just to try the grilled squid again.
for dessert, we had a tangerine sorbetto which was also very good. The service was friendly warm and though i didn't get the name of the gentleman, he was a delight! Honestly, we had far more inferior food in lucca for 30% more than what we paid in Cinotto.
I am grateful to the chef and the waiter for keeping the tradition going ... . Bravi!

Old-fashioned historic trattoria but with quality food cooked properly! A blast from the past that deserves to be experienced until it is open. The desserts made by the daughter are also excellent. I recommend the guinea fowl, the cannelloni, desserts choose to taste, they are always fresh and delicious.

Very good home cooking, doesn't work on weekends but it's worth stopping by sometimes, medium-low prices,
unfortunately it will close on September 30th

A huge favorite about Stanislas’ personality! (Without forgetting his bubbly wife of course)
Their cuisine is excellent ☺️.
We had the chance to taste your dishes 2 nights in a row with all the love you put into them.
And all this, before you stop your activity at the end of this summer 2024.
Very good value for money!

Place of the heart... A life dedicated to this profession and it can be seen from the genuine dishes and authentic flavors of the past.
