Trattoria Da Catine In San daniele del friuli

I'm in Fagagna for work, and my bible "Osterie d'Italia" (2016) recommends "Da Fenile," praising its authentic cuisine with local products. Of course, I test the reliability of the guide and the trattoria. I must admit that reality is better than theory. Honest and authentic hospitality. Cleanliness and simplicity in this trattoria, bar, and tobacconist in an isolated hamlet of San Daniele del Friuli. But above all, THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD. Besides the classic San Daniele (really good), I enjoyed the excellent homemade giardiniera and the gnocchetti as a first course. But above all, the stuffed duck was almost better than the one my mom made. To finish, a bit of Moltrasio with polenta, a good house wine, and I left feeling really happy (as well as full). Thanks to the young waitress (so energetic and helpful) and to the fabulous owner, with whom we had a pleasant chat. P.S. The price is absolutely fair. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

A wonderful dinner with excellent food, seasoned and enlivened by exceptional service...the raw ham and frico were special. We'll gladly return.

Dishes, from the cured meats to the very tasty and well-prepared cuisine, to the simple yet fantastic desserts. The owners are kind and courteous, and they give you the attention you deserve. If you're looking for a trattoria, not a restaurant, you're in the right place. A well-chosen menu, a good selection of wines, and above all, the warm welcome of the staff make you feel welcomed and pampered.

A very pleasant surprise, a warm welcome, and fast and accurate service. I ate wonderfully: a plate of prosciutto that melted in my mouth, accompanied by a superb homemade giardiniera, followed by a delicious frico! I definitely think I'll be back.

This is my first time at this place. The place is beautiful, the food is perfect, the service is impeccable, the staff is kind, polite, courteous, and helpful.
