It's a shame because I've eaten here many times in the past and always had good food, so I brought my family. Unfortunately, I have to say that the overall quality has gone downhill. I ate a tartare that, as far as tuna was concerned, was inedible. The smell was nauseating, and I had to tell the waiter, who apologized. The problem is, he came back saying there was nothing wrong with it, but it was sour from the lemon! Are you taking your customers for fools? If the tuna smells like fish (and I won't say why), it means the fish isn't fresh, and there's no point beating around the bush. My wife and I actually felt sick the next day. The good thing is that they discounted 1/5 of the price, but the problem is that I didn't complain about the dish to avoid paying for it, but rather because they have to be careful, or you'll offer me something else! It's a shame because the first courses and pizza were good. Good and punctual service, although I don't really like the fake leather tablecloths that don't inspire me with hygiene since they aren't covered with real tablecloths that are changed after each customer.

July 5, 1994, Italy vs. Nigeria. The place is practically empty. The owner invites us to sit down, but in a very resolute manner, he tells us that the matter of food would be discussed at the end of the match. The stove and hotplates are strictly turned off. With five minutes to go, with Italy trailing, the exasperated owner turns off the TV and says: okay, I understood, let's think about cooking. After a couple of seconds, I hear a monstrous, superhuman scream, and I see a boy throw himself onto the palm tree on the sidewalk opposite, shouting Baggio's name several times. The owner turns off the stove, quickly turns on the TV, which, being a cathode ray tube, struggles to restart. I manage to watch one of the last replays, where Massaro grazes the ball with the tip of his foot, and the ball goes into the corner of the net. Moral of the story... he ate around midnight. After 31 years, I thank the owner for making me miss Baggio's most beautiful and exciting goal in history!!! I give 5 stars for the indelible memory and the pasta with sea urchins!!! Other times, kids... other times, that will never come back!!!

Having been in Mondello for several days on business, we also chose Trattoria da Calogero and congratulate it on its splendid, truly enchanting seafront location. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, with friendly and helpful staff who immediately put us at ease. The seafood dishes are fresh and well-prepared, especially the antipasti and seafood pasta, which reflect Sicilian tradition. Wait times can be a bit long at busy times, but overall we had a positive experience, accompanied by good value and the pleasure of dining overlooking the Mondello sea.

First day in Sicily and first restaurant. We're not there yet.
The place is in a strategic location, so it'll always be open, but if you're looking for quality, it's not the place I'd recommend to my friend.

I ate at this restaurant twice on vacation 3 years ago, and today, what can I say... The staff are always very kind and efficient! The fish is very fresh and excellent... Compliments to the chef and staff!

We had a wonderful meal. Mimo and Rian were excellent hosts. The swordfish was top-notch. Wine tip: Nozze d'oro. The most intense scroppino ever ;-)

Personally, I was very excited to try it. Actually, I was disappointed, because paying €70, €24 of which was for a trio of tartares that weren't fresh (the tuna was left out), doesn't seem right to me. They did, of course, remove the spoiled tuna and replace it with fresh, unseasoned tuna, but I personally expected more from a seafood restaurant. The fried food is good, and €5 cover charge for two is too much.
