Everything was definitely excellent, from the welcome to the service, from the drinks to the food. Really well-prepared dishes and attentive service that makes it more of a restaurant than a trattoria. The friendliness of the staff was the icing on the cake. Well done.

Fantastic restaurant! Delicious food in a cozy, atmospheric setting. The service was friendly, attentive and made the evening extra pleasant. There is a cozy atmosphere and the menu even offers vegan options. Definitely recommended!

Lately, when we decide to visit the Dolomiti Bellunesi Park, we stop at this restaurant for a coffee or lunch, like last time. It's an incredible place, it feels like going back in time,... you "taste" the simple life of the past. The lady who runs the restaurant ... deserves an OSCAR ... for her friendliness. They give you all the information about the dishes they prepare.
We'll be back... definitely!.

So happy we found this gem. Amazing food with vegan (!) options. We ordered the charcuterie and cheese platter, chickpea vegan ravioli and the specialty “schiz”. All was very tasty and the service was fantastic!

We found this place by chance on our way back from a bivouac in the Agordino area on our way to Padua.
Intrigued by the place and surprised to find a table for 5 on a Sunday, we stopped and parked in front of the square.
After a wait that started out a bit long, the lady (the landlady) brought us beers and crostini for an aperitif: while we waited she then brought us the menus. Let me start by saying that the 4 stars for the service are due to the slowness (the landlady is alone) of the place, but then it was worth it!
We ordered a tagliorone delle volpi where you can feel all the research into the raw materials in the cold cuts and cheeses, the mustard is also good.
We ordered some first courses to complete the meal where, being homemade, we didn't find anything bad! From the ravioli to the chef's imagination (this changes every time).
The desserts are good according to my companions (I was olvo!)
Recommended and compliments to the landlady and all the staff! Go there and help boost the local economy!

First and foremost, the courtesy and affability of the hosts of the tavern should be noted (we arrived without a reservation although it is written on the door that we ask for it, there were no problems).
Secondly, the innkeeper is fun and approachable, yet courteous.
The environment is rustic, perhaps slightly messy but full of details from portraits to carvings and tinsel depicting the fox (Nomen Omen, I would say).
Let's move on to the dishes: we took the platter of cured meats, cheeses and asparagus in melted cheese (Antipasto della Volpe), little to say. Everything was excellent, especially the selection of cheeses accompanied by orange marmalade.
Excellent porchetta as well as angus roast beef and game cured meats.
Secondly we had two different first courses (the ravioli) and what flavours! A mixture but well blended of flavors between the cheeses and herbs that is difficult to describe except that everything has been brushed away. Clearly homemade, with the necessary cooking times.
In a nutshell, is it worth coming to this tavern? Yes definitely, there is rusticity but also gourmet by the kilo without flaunting it but finding it expressed in the dishes served.
