We stopped for dinner at Trattoria da Alberto by chance, as it was conveniently on our route. It was a pleasant surprise—one of the best restaurants we've tried in the eight years we've lived in Italy.

Overall good food, shame about the truffle fettuccine, we have tasted better ones, excellent ravioli and tortelli, with the right balance between filling and exterior. Rustic setting and mise en place but with more refined service and dishes, a shame as I was more generally expecting a trattoria with slightly more choice (I was hoping to enjoy a starter of cured meats and cheeses) and less refined dishes

Being a resident of Mugello, I have had the pleasure of visiting Trattoria da Alberto several times and I can say that the food is excellent! The Mugello tortelli, homemade by my neighbor Graziella, are among the best I have ever tasted in the area. If a real Mugellano tells you this, you can believe it!
But it's not just the tortelli that surprise. The ravioli all'Ubaldino, prepared with the typical cheese of the area, are stratospheric! The appetizers also deserve a special mention: from the knife steak to the ribollita cheek, each dish is a discovery. If I list everything, I risk ruining the surprise!
As for the second courses, I tasted some real delights: the steak is for true connoisseurs, the stuffed quail is super and the baked pigeon is fantastic.
The service is impeccable, thanks to Stefania, always kind and attentive. The location is very nice and typical, perfect for a meal with family or friends. And finally, the price is absolutely right considering the quality of the food and the happiness with which you leave the table.
I highly recommend it!
