A charming, simple, no-frills country trattoria. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. The food was decent, but nothing special. Perhaps influenced by the area's many highly regarded trattorias in the Genoese hinterland, I was hoping for something more. The portions seemed a bit small, and the price was a bit high. Overall, though, I had a good experience; if I ever make it to Bavari again, I'd happily return.

A traditional trattoria in Bavari, simple but offering good traditional Genoese dishes. Excellent first courses, with a wide variety of fresh pasta paired with a variety of sauces. A variety of main courses and desserts are also available. Friendly service. A lovely outdoor seating area. I went here for lunch on a Saturday and had a great time. My only complaint was that I wasn't given a menu with prices, but the final price was still fair.

Today we were here for the first time. We arrived late and it looked like the kitchen was closed, but the owners kindly seated us even though we arrived around 2:30 PM. The dishes were very good, both first and second courses. The desserts were excellent. The restaurant is a bit hidden, so it's advisable to find parking a little earlier, that is, from the church square in the center of Bavari. Although there is a small road, it's very narrow to get there, so those with large cars might not be able to get there. There's an indoor dining room and an outdoor veranda. Courtesy, kindness, and professionalism. Fair prices. For two first courses, a second course, side dish, wine, water, and two desserts, we paid €60. We'll definitely be back.

08/12/2025: Why so many... Friday, November 28th, dinner in a very welcoming, small, and intimate restaurant with stone walls, typical of Genoa's alleys. We spent €56 including the €20 discount on the Fork. We had two appetizers, two first courses, two desserts, and a bottle of water. I'd say the price was right. The appetizer was a generous and delicious steak tartare, and the octopus salad. Perhaps the olives, a bit too much, covered the flavor of the octopus. The first course was pansotti and spaghetti with seafood sauce and arugula, delicious, and the dessert was delicious. Why...? Negative comments about the service? As far as I'm concerned, it was fast enough, attentive, helpful, and I'd add friendly. Congratulations, in fact. We're in Genoa, so if you're expecting the holidays, it's better to go somewhere else.

16/09/2025: Amazing restaurant in a beautiful location, with super friendly staff and an innovative kitchen. The view is perfect which is why I don’t understand why it strictly (!) only opens at 19:30 — any decent entrepreneur would sell an aperitif from 6pm onwards on the beautiful balcony outside for people to enjoy the sunset (which otherwise will have happened already when you start your meal). There were tiny issues with the service (for instance they brought a beef butter to a completely vegetarian table, only to take it away and not replacing it with something vegetarian instead, and a couple next to us was waiting for having their wine with their food) but all in all the service was impeccable otherwise and I would have loved to give a tip unless these sneaky corporate people in the finance department wouldn’t have already built that tip into my bill, at which time and out of principle I crossed it out! I would have voluntarily given more than the „suggested tip“ if you hadn’t kinda forced my hands on it. I guess few people realize it so mathematically they end up with more, but not in style! Apropos style: the worst part of this restaurant is the music. The manager swore he couldn’t change the music or turn it down. Guys. We are in the 21st century. Forcing the same tasteless and unnecessary loud music on all people who have a very different and highly individualized dining experiences is just unprofessional and quite frankly costs you a star. If the CEO of the hotel can’t fix that, I‘m sorry for him (or her) as this is a matter of willingness only, everything else is an excuse.
21/08/2025: What can I say... a wonderful experience! We chose this place for my birthday dinner. Every detail was taken care of, from the table settings to the service, which was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. The dishes were all excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and the execution of a small birthday cake. They were happy to accommodate every request (even to prepare a risotto for just one person). The location and the view were a real plus. Highly recommended.
