This unassuming little restaurant really delighted us. Found in the guidebook, it's packed with local Italian restaurants, with a minimalist menu and attentive waiters. The best risotto of my life!

Typical Roman place, like eating at grandma's house, simple but excellent dishes, very low price compared to what you find around, very traditional location, we had a great time, highly recommended!

I 100% recommend this restaurant (or rather osteria)! The waiter was very nice and patient with us (we don't speak Italian so it took us a little time to make our choice!). The atmosphere is family, and the dishes are exceptional. The pasta is obviously something to try, but everything looked excellent! In terms of quality/price, we are not disappointed: around €30 per person for dishes/dessert/drinks. We will come back with pleasure!

Exceptional Roman trattoria from times gone by. Roman artichoke, pasta and potatoes, lamb, all delicious. And at a good price. And the San Lorenzo environment when I was a kid. It's a good thing they remain places like this.

This place deserves only an overall rating that summarizes comfort, taste for traditional food but also for the invigorating sensation of eating in a space outside of time, where fashion is banned.

06/06/2025: Agnello alla cacciatora was amazing though I’m not a fan of sticks (My taste buds got too used to much more flavourful satay sticks). Service was nice too. Owner’s friendly. Loved the tiramisu too 💓
06/06/2025: I went there with some friends and I had a really good time. Not recommended for vegans and vegetarians 🙃

01/06/2025: Going to Barone is going to a second home! Quality products and customer care, the staff pampers us for every need, at any time (coffee shop, aperitif, after dinner). Also recommended for small events!
