Trattoria Cavour In Sacile

I believe our server was the owner - he gave detailed descriptions of the menu in fluent French, Italian and English. He was very friendly. We ordered a local wine from Friuli-Venezia which was delicious and reasonably priced. I had the monk fish which was tougher than I’m used to for white fish but I suspect that is the local style. My husband got the pork cheeks which were amazing.

We stopped thinking that in a trattoria there would be a menu at good prices and instead we found ourselves having to pay for an appetizer and a first course at 83.50...note that on the table there wasn't even a tablecloth...if I were to pass by again I certainly wouldn't stop a second time

Always a pleasure to return. Small but fine menu. Friendly service in a very homely atmosphere. At reasonable prices.

We stumbled upon this trattoria/restaurant by chance... we ate well, the ingredients were good, and the service was excellent! You pay for what you eat.
