Trattoria Caselle In Morimondo

After visiting the Morimondo Abbey we stopped at this trattoria listed in the Osterie d'Italia guide. Our compliments go to the young staff who managed to create a welcoming space where they can offer quality food at more than fair prices. The salami and risotto are excellent.

A place where I return often and willingly, even more so in this season, where the outdoor space is an added value. Historic trattoria in Caselle - near Morimondo - run by a couple attentive and always looking for quality products, with an interesting and non-trivial wine list, the result of this research. Cured meats, cheeses from the area or even from mountain pastures, in some cases they directly slaughter the animal that you will find on the menu, pasta and risotto, dishes for vegetarians, homemade desserts. I read with surprise some reviews that I should not pay attention to, with complaints about uncomfortable chairs (the typical trattoria chairs, come on, very comfortable by the way!), or lack of tablecloth in the €15 lunch menu (again...come on!!). I think this is already the 3rd year that they have been present in the Osterie d'Italia guide, with merit! I have learned not to write reviews if, in a place where I go for the first time, maybe I don't feel good... there can be a bad day and a negative review written superficially can ruin a place that for someone is life... Luckily here the commitment, the enthusiasm and the results are not lacking, beyond what someone who plays at being a food critic might think. I absolutely recommend it!
