Trattoria Caccia Reale In Novara

We were there yesterday for Christmas lunch. Everything was good, excellent service. Roberto, the owner, was kind enough to give a free portion of a first course for my mother who couldn't have lunch with us because she was ill. Thank you for everything.

October 18, 2025 It's Thursday, and halfway through work, I feel the need for a little refreshment. So, you know what? Like it or not, I drop my tools and head to the "Caccia" Dear, good old Salvo lists every dish for me, but to be honest, I listen distractedly. I've already made up my mind, even though it's a bit much, for the first and second courses, I'm ordering tripe! Well before it arrives, I savor the aroma, and as soon as I taste it, it warms up again. It melts in my mouth and delights the palate, and it's so good I'm ecstatic. I happily devour the fogliolo and busecca, not at all envying those who eat steak. I slowly eat each piece, thinking: "I could drink a liter and a half of red wine!" But I'm cautious, I drink very little, fearing the guards and their balloon, even though I grumble: "What am I doing wrong by drinking a glass at the Royal Hunt?" Today, November 22, 2024, I ate a paniscia at Nirvana Gastrico. The tapulon was also excellent. At a more than affordable price, and in Novara that's not cheap.

A trattoria that retains the flavor of a couple of generations ago. Traditional food is good and plentiful. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.

I was in Novara to celebrate my husband's birthday, and for lunch we took our family to Caccia Reale, where we ate some excellent porcini mushroom dishes. The portions were so generous that we skipped the main course because we were so full! We shared the dishes so we could try a little bit of everything, and everyone was more than satisfied. The atmosphere is homey, and Roberto welcomed us kindly, explaining the menu and recommending the right wines. Definitely worth returning and a must-try for those who haven't been yet. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent!
