Trattoria Cà d'oro alla Vedova is a historic Venetian restaurant, and upon entering, you immediately sense a convivial atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with copper pans hanging from the ceiling, while the walls are adorned with paintings, prints, and various objects, all quite vintage. We stopped here to try their famous and delicious meatballs, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Next time I return to Venice, I'd love to eat here, because all the dishes I saw passing by looked so inviting.

Everything was truly excellent, good value for money. The selection was limited, but traditional and delicious. The wines were the same. I wasn't happy with the service; the waitresses were very annoyed.

Very good food, but unwelcoming service. The young, listless people almost seem like they're bothering you. Another thing that bothered me was the refusal to offer separate bills (legally, this isn't allowed; everyone is free to pay for their own meals without having to foot the bill for the entire table). It's a shame, because the food is really good.

23/02/2026: A quick business lunch in a casual setting. The food lived up to expectations, and the service was prompt and friendly.
26/01/2026: A very nice place for an aperitivo; I was here for a birthday aperitivo. The place is spacious with large windows, the mozzarella in carrozza (really large, look at the photo!) is mouthwatering, and the cicchetti are delicious. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. We'll be back!

14/01/2026: Good service at the counter, the bathrooms could use some more attention...like they were during the COVID era. Right! Come on, with commitment and determination, it can be done.
11/01/2026: It's a stop over shop with fast food good for travellers from Venice region heading towards Padua / Milan.
