Typical Venetian tavern. But not as tourists. Fantastic meatballs and prosecco. Several choices for dinner just for cicchetti

Returning to this tavern is always the right choice. Friendly and kind staff. Amazing meatballs, atmosphere of times gone by.
Mandatory to book in advance, but almost impossible to catch the line.
Main courses less abundant than they used to be...

2022 review: One of the oldest and most characteristic bacaros in Venice. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Good white and red house wine in bulk.

A place that was recommended to us by our guide, I can only confirm what Swabia recommended to us, meatballs and fried catch of the day. that the meatballs are delicious. All in a characteristic and very particular environment, the real tavern.
Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended for all those who want to eat and enjoy non-commercial cuisine

Following the routes of cybernavigators we came across this typical restaurant.
Not bad food, although more attention to detail would have been ideal.
The eye also wants its part.
The staff are friendly but not very smiling... this is also a service.
Normal food....typical but aimed at tourists...

The meatballs and the fish first courses we tasted were excellent. Very characteristic place and also frequented by Venetians.

A local hidden gem. The restaurant has family-run vibes and is warm, homey, and conveniently placed - about 1 minute from the Cà D’oro vaporetto.
The decor is tasteful and classy but still down-to-earth. The staff are kind, observant, and genuinely want you to have a positive experience.
The food was spectacular and reasonably pieced. I can highly recommend this place to someone looking to experience a true local Venetian trattoria.

Always a pleasant return to Ca' d'oro... which starts with some freshly fried Vedova meatballs and continues with creamed cod with polenta, Venetian cuttlefish and Venetian liver.
Friendly but confusing service given the amount of work.
Compared to last year, I noticed a decrease in the quantity of dishes and a change in the accompanying polenta, which was grilled, in my opinion more appropriate with some combinations (such as creamed cod).
Tiramisu without infamy and without praise.
Prices in my opinion high compared to the portions.

The location is very characteristic because it preserves the features of a historic Venetian trattoria... the cuisine also preserves traditional Venetian dishes... the house meatballs deserve a special mention... the crab tagliolini and the tiramisu are also excellent... the guy at the till is very helpful. the service girls are a bit grumpy... the only downside is the bathroom outside the room which is not very clean

Beautiful place, discovered by chance while wandering around Venice, at the end of the alley I was attracted by the shop window, the scent of history!
Internally lived up to expectations!
Traditional cuisine, good dishes and more white wine!
Don't miss La Polpetta!
