While vacationing in Modena for a few days, some friends of ours took us to this oldest trattoria in the area.
What can I say? A simple, down-to-earth trattoria with truly excellent food.
The great thing is that we also purchased some local cured meats, and if you'd like, they also have local cheeses at truly excellent prices.

Great for a fun evening, the food is fantastic, but since it's home-cooked and simple, I don't recommend it for large dinners, but for good food and quality time with friends, the portions are more than generous. Highly recommended, just be careful about the nature of the visit.

I finally tried it and I have to say I really liked it. Traditional menu, you can choose à la carte or a set menu with two price points. Good first courses, the gnocco was a bit greasy, and the tigelle and cold cuts were delicious. The waitress was super attentive. Characterful atmosphere. Classic trattoria.

I loved this restaurant/trattoria/osteria. Friendly staff, excellent food, generous portions. I went on a Sunday, and the service was fast.
I'm from Florence, but if it were closer, I'd go very, very often.
