It's a real pleasure to rediscover the ancient flavors of typical Brescian cuisine with updated, bold, and flavorful dishes. The service and cleanliness are truly impeccable!
Decades pass (!!), but the Belvedere di Maclino remains true to itself: excellent cuisine (the tagliolini with whitefish are exquisite, the crepes with Tremosine cheese, the pike with polenta, the creamed cod, the sorbet with Monte Maderno lemons, and the homemade liqueurs are among the specialties we tried this time), friendly and courteous service (Stefania and Florin make you feel at home, as do the rest of the staff), and prices that remain incredibly reasonable, including the wine list. The place is also… a belvedere (see the photo of the lake under a full moon!)
We'll return again and again.
PS: Last but not least, they created impromptu and delicious dishes for the vegan in the group—thanks to chef Luca.
This restaurant was highly recommended to us, but unfortunately, I can't confirm that. The view over the lake was really beautiful, and the ambiance in the restaurant was good.
The food was okay, but I've had much better meals nearby. However, I found it a shame that the menu listed desserts as €6, but none were actually listed. The waiter listed everything, and my wife ordered strawberries and a scoop of ice cream. The bill showed both at €6, as well as my panna cotta at €6. So, €6 for a scoop of ice cream and another €6 for strawberries with a bit of whipped cream was pretty steep, I thought, and completely unjustified.
Excellent restaurant with a wonderful view. Classic food with quality ingredients. The plus is the staff: very kind and cheerful. I will definitely be back.
This restaurant is located on the hill above Toscolano-Maderno, with a breathtaking lake view. Quality food and impeccable service. Reasonable bill. Highly recommended.
Restaurant with a fantastic lake view. Excellent food. We tried the Brescia-style kid with taragna polenta, accompanied by a sparkling rosé—excellent! Fair prices. I recommend it.
