Exceptional food with the highest quality raw materials. A place such as is rarely found nowadays. Highly recommended!

We actually prefer to try a different restaurant every day, but we liked this one so much that we went there two days in a row, and we probably would have come even more often if the opening times had been right. The restaurant has a small menu, exclusively in Italian (you may need to download an offline translator, as there is no cell phone reception in the restaurant), but that's not a bad thing, as the waiter is happy to give recommendations and also explains which variants (e.g. classic carbonara, or a variant with fish) the dishes are possible. Here you can really see how much fun both the waiter and the chef are having, the dishes taste really delicious and are combined brilliantly! Example is a codfish (in German, cod) served on small orange slices along with caramelized onions (seen in the last picture). I would never have thought of the combination myself, but it tastes incredibly good! Someone here really knows a thing or two about cooking! On the first evening we also had the Florentine steak to share and try. Absolutely worth it!

Our VRBO owner recommended this place and it was amazing! We had wild boar pasta, potatoes, steak and wine. We ate leftover leftovers for 2 nights after. I hope to be back in this area again in the future!

Andreas and Docchio were amazing. Steak is so delicious! Potatoes awesome! Great wine pairing. Pasta great! Lovely place.

The owner very kind. The waiter was also very kind, thoughtful and very attentive to small details. The tagliatelle with white truffle cream and porcini mushrooms are very good, the pasta is homemade and you can taste the difference. As a second course we took the Florentine steak, cooked perfectly but unfortunately it was too nervous, I expected it to be much softer. Served cold. I would have expected the tray it is served on to be a little warm. Very good dessert and wine.

An excellent al fresco trattoria on the hills above Bagno a Ripoli, 20' from Florence. Tables on the covered terrace for good weather and various decorated internal rooms. Tuscan menu with fresh, good quality products, excellent meat. Small list of wines, good. Courteous service. Medium-low prices.
