Good food, but a bit of a long wait

A trattoria near my home, in Monteforte d'Alpone. We'd never been there, or so we thought: my partner realized we'd been there before only when we arrived, because she couldn't remember the name. I, on the other hand, really wanted to try somewhere new. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. For Valentine's Day, they'd set a beautifully decorated table, complete with a candle, flower petals, and two little red chocolate hearts: a simple but pleasant touch. As soon as we were seated, they offered us a small appetizer with two small pieces of cheese, mustard, bread, and mortadella: a very nice gesture. For our first course, we had a risotto with radicchio, tastasal, and Amarone, which was very flavorful. For our second course, I chose the boiled meat with pearà; my partner, being intolerant to onions, had a risotto with radicchio and Amarone, followed by polenta with cod Vicenza-style. Finally, for dessert, we had a heart-shaped tiramisu and a slice of strawberry cheesecake. The service was courteous and fairly quick. The dishes were good, well-executed, but they didn't leave me with that extra something that makes you say, "I'll be back soon."

A super woman runs the place, dispensing pampering while serving simple but super succulent food at super competitive prices.... Highly recommended

Trattoria decorated like it was in the 1990s. Characteristic Venetian cuisine from days gone by. With authentic dishes that you don't even eat at home anymore. Excellent dishes from days gone by. Friendly service. Clean atmosphere. ...and I'd add: COME AND EAT, IT'S WORTH IT.

We ate very well, delicious specialties, excellent prices, simple and well-kept place, friendly staff.

Boiled meat and pears were very good, as were the side dishes. Quality house wine and excellent ravioli.

We ate very well, if I come back I will definitely go back
