During our walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella, I realized the family could use a bite to eat before tackling the 414 steps up Giotto's Bell Tower. We stumbled upon this restaurant, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. The server was welcoming, attentive, and professional, and the food was fantastic. To start, we shared the antipasto misto toscano, crostini misti, and ribollita. Everything was flavorful, and the ribollita, which had been on our food bucket list, certainly lived up to expectations. The chopped chicken liver on the crostini was surprisingly delicious, too. For our mains, we ordered lasagna, penne strasciate al ragu, a salad with grilled chicken, roast beef with potatoes, and porchetta with potatoes. No complaints about any of the main dishes—the food was flavorful, and the portions were generous. For dessert, we tried a chocolate cake and tiramisu. While not our favorite dessert of the trip, they were still enjoyable. Overall, this restaurant was a great find, and I highly recommend it!

Dinner that could be eaten, but certainly not a culinary experience that deserves to be recommended. Furthermore, I was disappointed by the tone of the gentleman at the restaurant in Via della Spada who took my reservation on the phone, he was a bit grumpy. Instead, I greatly appreciated the professionalism and friendliness of the girl who handled our orders!

I had dinner with a colleague, after the day of work it was really nice to stop in such a welcoming place, not only for the location but also for the service. We found an extremely kind waitress who satisfied all our requests and curiosities about food. I visited on a Saturday and was greeted kindly even though I didn't have a reservation. The food was really delicious and the male staff treated me really well, so I was able to have a fantastic time on the last day of my 15-day trip to Europe. When I visit Italy again, I will go to Florence and I will definitely stop by this restaurant again. I highly recommend it.
