Passing through Campoformido we stop for dinner, the environment includes all the memories of the treaty between Napoleon and the Habsburgs, with photos and paintings covering all the walls, the service is home-made and friendly. We took a gratin appetizer and a fresh sea bass, the girl informed us that it is fish caught and not farmed, she also suggested a side dish with fresh porcini mushrooms. Well, as people like us who dine out a lot, we were surprised by the goodness and freshness of the food cooked perfectly and delicately. An almost good tiramisu concluded the evening. We recommend this place, for its food and its history.

If, like me, you can't help but be fascinated by history and the territory, this is a place you can't miss.
Located directly on the state road that connects Udine to Pordenone, I must have seen it, passing by, a million times, and I finally stopped to try it.
The name, which has always attracted me, refers (obviously) to the Napoleonic Treaty of 1787 with which Venice ceased its centenary independence and was ceded to the Austrian Empire.
I start from the environment: from the dark wood furnishings, you feel catapulted into a trattoria from a century or two ago, to which are added Napoleon-themed prints and paintings. I liked it a lot. It made me reflect on how much history there is in this land, Friuli, and how important it is to know and value it.
The service: I was there for lunch and everything was entrusted to a lady, very kind and extremely fast, who, alone, governed the entire restaurant magnificently (quite full, despite the midweek day).
The food: I was offered the possibility of having a fixed price menu, I preferred to opt for a dish from the menu. The specialty of the place is fish, I took mixed seafood tagliolini (homemade): the right size dish, very rich, tasty and good seasoning, cooked to perfection. I accompanied it with two glasses of white (a sauvignon and a tocai) which were truly pleasant.
Overall great experience, I will definitely be back.

Trattoria with a retro taste, very particular rooms furnished in Friulian style with many references to Napoleon. Complete menu with Friulian and Italian dishes in general. Specialized in fish but also very good meat and ham from S. Daniele. Very friendly and professional service. Good choice of wines by the glass too. Fair price, little parking.
