Trattoria Al Gran Sasso In Roma

We had lunch last May 3rd. The food was very good, the price was pretty good for the area. Very delicious dessert. The waiters attentive and friendly. Clean bathrooms. Advisable

We ate what I shared in the photos. Fried artichokes, homemade fries, gnochetti and burrata were very nice. Ravioli dough was not very successful. We also liked the desserts. There were both tourists and locals. If you don't make a reservation, you may have to sit downstairs, which has no windows. The upper floor is very pleasant, but I wouldn't prefer the lower floor.

Terrified by the restaurants in the center which are mostly touristy, we tried this trattoria near Piazza del Popolo. It was a revelation with excellent dishes, a friendly waiter and reasonable prices. 4 of us had courgette flowers with burrata and anchovies and fried artichokes, carbonara, stewed meat with artichokes, tripe, Roman chicken and 4 desserts, 2 waters and a small beer totaling 123 euros. We will definitely be back

Very good restaurant BUT(!) only if you get the chance to sit in the section where you enter (not in the area downstairs). We had dinner there on Friday April 11 and everything was absolutely perfect. Good service (probably father and son) and delicious dishes and okay service. That is why we wanted to experience this again for our last evening in Rome (Monday April 14) and had reserved it (with the wish for the same table as a few evenings earlier). Upon entering neither of us (father and son) remembered us from a few days earlier which is fine, but still a shame. And we were led to a (still) unknown floor. I immediately asked if we couldn't sit upstairs as indicated when making the reservation, but that table was already reserved? Downstairs it was an unpleasant place with very bright lights, rubbish and empty tables - I would call it a piss corner. Operation and service (father did not serve downstairs) were not what we had experienced the first evening (especially at tables around us). It's a shame because the damage on the bill was of course the same. However, the room was completely empty at the time, while when we left the cool restaurant, the floor above was packed with lots of fun! If we had eaten here the first evening we would never have come back. So hopefully a learning goal for the restaurant to do something about the space? Success!

Perfect choice for best quality of food and wine. Friendly and professional service. Excellent options for vegetarian and fish/meat lovers. Strongly recommend !

Osteria vicino a Piazza del Popolo,locale accogliente e intimo . Ottimi piatti locali, abbondanti e cucinati bene . Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio solo più attenzione…( per il caffè abbiamo dovuto ordinarlo 3 volte prima che arrivasse)

Excellente adresse avec un accueil chaleureux et efficace. Carte agréable de plat italien et romain tres agréable et savoureux. Pâtes vaccin et peppe très bonne. Bon dessert. Réservation nécessaire car la salle est petite. Une très bonne adresse. Prix très correct pour le cadre et la qualité
