"Il Ghiottone" in Taranto is a restaurant that stands out for numerous aspects: welcoming, reserved and safe, but above all for the courtesy and reliability of the owners. Lucia and Osvaldo, young and passionate restaurateurs, undoubtedly deserve numerous awards. The cuisine, typically Apulian, offers delicious, abundant and always well presented menus, with particular attention to the quality of the raw materials. All at honest and competitive prices. A highly recommended and much appreciated place in Taranto.

I served in the military in that beautiful city and every evening we went to eat at the Ghiottone, since then 24 years have passed, a beautiful place where you can eat well and at more than honest prices.

02/03/2025: Having arrived in Martina Franca from Turin we wanted to taste the meat specialties and cured meats for which this beautiful location is known. The reviews of this place caught our attention. The place is small, essential and welcoming. In "hot" periods I think it is essential to book. The service is excellent, guaranteed by 2 professional and polite guys. A special mention for Francesca. The owner, very kind, also makes sure that everything is to your liking. Home-made cured meats and exceptional meat. We didn't take the menus but a series of tastings (mainly bombette, sliced ​​meat and grilled potatoes). They are attentive to food intolerances, such as celiac disease. Good house wine. Exceptional quality/price ratio. Unexpected and very welcome final cuddle. Highly recommended!
