Beautiful, welcoming and familiar place

It's a trattoria, and it should be taken as such. It's not a restaurant for posh people. So everything should rightly be related to what the identity of the place is. Personally, I ate very well. I found the products to be of quality, excellent cooking, and excellent price, of course it's a very large room, so definitely not a quiet environment, the service is brisk, but that's part of the game. So for what they are and want to continue to be for many years, I think it's an EXCELLENT place, try it!

Yesterday, on our way back from Chioggia, we stopped for lunch since the restaurant is on the Romea highway, and as usual, we noticed several cars parked there, so we decided to give it a try. This trattoria specializes in horse meat. We had the bigoli, which weren't greasy at all and had an excellent ragù, and the straecca. The portions were generous, and the service was more than good. The setting is typical for a trattoria. Horse meat lovers should definitely try it. The price is more than fair.

Nice local restaurant with fast service and fair prices. For antipasto, their sfilacci and salame cotto are good. Ate their spezzatino twice. The first time the meat was melting your mouth but the second it wasn’t pleasant to eat (very difficult texture to chew), either wasn’t cooked properly or the horse was old. The grigliata mista offers you a very small piece of ribs which is mainly bones, be aware. The gnocchi with horse ragù were delicious, still the texture was way too soft, nearly like mashed potatoes. Also wanted to try their arrosto di cavallo both times, but they didn’t have it (with over a week distance between visits). Please take it off the menu if you can’t provide it. The desserts (torta della nonna and tiramisu) were fairly good for their prices. Very fast service even on busy nights, servers speak little english but they try. Will be coming back as the food is relatively good with very fair pricing and good service. The place is clean and well maintained.

We stopped at this restaurant during a trip and it was a pleasant surprise! Excellent value, and even though it was a Saturday, the service was quick and attentive. The dishes were authentic and the portions generous. Highly recommended.

Di ritorno un sabato sera da Chioggia decidiamo di provare la Trattoria con specialità in carne di cavallo. Siamo rimasti sorpresi dalla quantità di auto nel grande parcheggio antistante il ristorante. Nonostante ciò e pur non avendo prenotato, decidiamo di provare a sentire. Tempo di attesa di max 20 min e ci siamo seduti. Ci viene inizialmente presentato il menu direttamente dal personale ma avendo bisogno di un attimo in più di tempo x decidere, non conoscendo il locale, chiediamo di consultare il menu cartaceo che ci viene gentilmente consegnato. Siamo rimasti sorpresi dai prezzi, decisamente bassi rispetto alla norma. Abbiamo provato quindi un antipasto misto, due piatti di bigoli al ragù di cavallo e uno spezzatino in umido accompagnato dalla polenta più del vino della casa e un paio di caffè. Tutto per 38 euro. Nulla da dire, tutto molto buono e di qualità. Esperienza da provare se ci si trova da quelle parti.
