We received a very warm welcome here. From the moment we asked at the door if there was a table for two, to the bill, the service, the food, the ambiance, everything was top-notch! It's rare that a restaurant visit truly becomes an experience for both mind and senses.

If you're looking for a truly special dining experience in the heart of Udine, this restaurant in Piazzetta Antonini is undoubtedly one of the best choices in the city. I went here with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day dinner, and it was a perfect evening. The restaurant is located in a historic building, meticulously renovated: the spaces are different and all very welcoming. In particular, the room with the antique fireplace creates a warm and intimate atmosphere that makes everything even more charming. The decor harmoniously blends modern and rustic, without distorting the authentic soul of the place. The menu is varied and suitable for all tastes and budgets. It offers traditional Friulian dishes with a modern twist, specialties that showcase the prized black truffle, meat dishes, including grilled ones, and refined fish dishes. There are also various tasting menus for those who want to be guided through a complete experience. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, featuring excellent Italian and French wines. We chose the fish menu, and everything was truly excellent, prepared with great care; a special mention goes to the raw fish, which was incredibly fresh and well-balanced. The service was impeccable, and all the staff were friendly and professional. A special thanks to Valentino, who looked after us attentively from the reservation to the final port, a perfect way to end the evening. A place I 100% recommend, where quality, atmosphere, and attention to detail truly make the difference.

05/02/2026: Dinner for two, also great for small groups. Reservations are essential to ensure your spot. The place is small and charming, the manager is very attentive and friendly, the food is excellent, and parking is adequate for the size of the place. Highly recommended!

07/03/2026: We were served a welcome pepper cream soup with bread. It was a shame the bread was old, not oven-toasted, and therefore quite soggy. As for the first courses, the portions were a bit small (I had the leek-filled gnocchi, but I tried a bit of everything), but everything was good. For the second courses, I had the frico with polenta, which was good, but I don't think it was homemade. Too bad. As for the atmosphere, I have to say I felt cold. The fire was out, rightly so given the time of year, and there was only an electric heater warming the entire dining room.
12/02/2026: A traditional trattoria with a timeless atmosphere. Reservations are required, seating is limited, and the place is always packed. Lunch is excellent and the fixed-price menu is a good value. If you're in the San Daniele area, you absolutely must stop here.
