Trattoria Acaya In Vernole

Warm and characteristic environment; you eat inside an old house in the village. Menu strongly based on traditional dishes; good quality but not very good. Single appetizer largely composed of cooked dishes (a positive thing) while some of the preparations (in particular some "variations") did not convince us. Excessive markup on wines. Friendly but sloppy service.

Finally a restaurant that deserves to be called such. Everything was very good, from the starter, to the bites, to the turcineddhri and lamb, to the wine. The place is nice with a well-kept front garden. It feels like being at home, where you know you will eat well. Advise.

A lovely experience. Great local dishes, warm welcome by restaurant family in an evocative location. .My husband and I shared the vegetable antipasto which was delicious. I had read the negative review from someone that had ordered it for lunch today so I felt challenged to make my own opinion. The antipasto was delicious! Made from regional vegetables, delicately seasoned cold and hot both offered. We then enjoyed our meat dishes. mine the roasted sausage and my husband had the lamb. Throughout our meal, we had the opportunity to talk to the family members about local history. I highly recommend this lovely trattoria. We hope that we can return in the near future.
