Tonnarello In Roma

The carbonara is great, and the portions are perfect. It's a lovely setting, quite popular, so arriving a little early is best! The service is quick.

Just wow! It wouldn't be a true visit to Trastevere without stopping by Tonarello. This place ia absolutely amazing and definitely worth the wait time (which as a solo traveller on a busy Sunday night, went fairly quickly in 20 - 25 mins). The atmosphere is buzzing, lively and just amazing to take in as you enjoy the delicious food. The only thing I would say is it took a little while to get a glass of water, until a kind and amazing host named Ronaldo noticed I had been waiting a while and came to make up for this. He served me for the rest of the evening, and was absolutely fantastic!! - so welcoming, recommending dishes, and helping to accomodate my shellfish allergy. I ordered two pasta dishes (as I wanted to try them so badly and the prices are so reasonable!) - the Amatriciana, and the pesto and both were incredible! So flavoursome and at around €12 each, I was just blown away! I also ordered a gin and tonic, which surprised me foo - in terms of how much gin they brought! It was amazing!

The food was great, we enjoyed house red wine and pinsa. Special thanks to Rashid for the service!

Great environment, our waiter Aaron made the experience the best, he was smiling, helpful and overall a lovely waiter for our evening and made our night special. Would recommend for the service from him :)
