Toki Sushi Rimini In Rimini

Very good. The food is fresh, the environment is comfortable, and the front desk service is very good. The attitude is sincere and enthusiastic.

We visited for lunch at the end of the summer season. It wasn't our first choice, but since the one we'd previously chosen was closed, we opted for this one instead and were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was informal and well-decorated, and the service was really fast, although the waiters weren't very customer-friendly. Now for the food, which actually exceeded our expectations. There are restrictions on the more expensive dishes, but they're understandable; the speed of service could put you at risk of ordering more than you can eat. The place passes the test with flying colors. The only downside is parking, which is truly difficult.

By the way, years ago I often came here for any occasion and was always satisfied. I returned one Saturday for lunch and I have to say that the food, contrary to what I remembered, was very disappointing. Many dishes seemed to be made with leftovers from the night before; I remember an uramaki ebiten with the shrimp breading as hard as cardboard. The sushi fish in general was very dry, but the sashimi, on the other hand, was good. Furthermore, it remained indigestible for the whole day, and I wouldn't say it made me sick, but it left me feeling very heavy. In short, very disappointing, contrary to what I remembered. The service was extremely fast; we didn't even have time to select our dishes on the tablet before they had already brought them to us.

Rimini evening with excellent sushi. The service was inattentive, but the staff didn't speak Italian very well and piled the dishes on top of each other.

Unfortunately, hardly any of the staff spoke English, which is surprising in a tourist destination like Rimini. They weren't attentive either. The food came without wasabi and ginger; we had to order both separately. Sushi was okay, a bit bland. The inside-outs were very small, easily 30% smaller than what you're used to.

It's a bit out of step with the old Toki. It's very touristy. The food isn't bad, nor is it good.
