Wow what a fantastic cozy restaurant, located in quiet surroundings away from all the tourists and people. Our children wanted pasta bolognese, it was not on the menu, but the chef conjured it up for them, fantastic service and we have never had that before in Italy and it tasted so delicious. We had guinea fowl with fried vegetables and fries, and WOW it smelled and tasted heavenly, delicious sauce. The local Italians came and ordered food while they sat around the table and said goodbye. Everyone who walked or cycled past, the employees greeted them, and had a little chat on the way. So it is a gem to visit. And there were little delicious surprises from the chef in between, it was really also fantastic and heavenly in taste. So if you want delicious food, a fantastic atmosphere and the chef and waiters who do everything to ensure that you as a guest have a fantastic food experience, then this is the place you should try. We just dropped in without booking a table.

We were in Mantua for a city tour and, strolling through the alleys, we stopped here for dinner. The staff were very friendly, but the food didn't leave us with a great impression of Mantuan cuisine. The appetizer was cured meats and a few pieces of gnocco, but the portions were small. The pumpkin tortelli were good but a bit too sweet for our taste. The menu wasn't very varied. A shame.

The interior is very welcoming, but enjoying the excellent food in the beautiful Piazza Leon Battista Alberti is truly the best! Highly recommended!

We've been to Mantua a few times, and today we stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant for the first time. It's in a lovely, quiet location, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff was very friendly. They used cloth tablecloths and napkins. We chose the four-course menu featuring Mantuan specialties, and it was wonderful. Thank you for the fantastic experience!

In a tourist city like Mantua, it's difficult to find a restaurant that offers dishes that are not only traditional but also sophisticated in terms of ingredients and flavors. These two aspects are often overlooked because it's well known that clientele is constantly changing, thus lacking the incentive to offer a quality product. We discovered Tiratappi by chance: its cuisine proved to be a true surprise in terms of flavors, aromas, and quality, aided by the chef's Sicilian origins. Well done Orazio, and so are his waiting staff. Our only regret is that it was our last evening in Mantua; we would have loved to try the other dishes and discover the surprises off the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.
