Tiratappi In Mantova

While staying in Mantua I found this restaurant on thefork, I was satisfied. It has a typical cuisine with some Sicilian additions. We had macaroni with beef stew, pork belly and a caponata with side dishes and a Belgian Mantuan pudding for dessert Both the pasta and the belly were really great, the belly really cooked to perfection. I liked the caponata even though I'm not a fan I tasted the Belgian pudding since it is a typical dish of the area even though I am not a fan of puddings in general. It seemed well made but it wasn't particularly to my taste, I found it a little bitter and I expected it to be sweeter as there was caramel in it, however I have no yardstick for comparison The location is beautiful, a sort of ancient villa in the heart of Mantua Correct prices considering everything

While visiting Mantua for the Picasso exhibition we entered almost by chance and managed to get one last table. Table set correctly, the crispy red mullet in soup with prawns appreciated. The concassée of pike, peppers, anchovies and capers on a bed of polenta was appreciated. Once home I realized the Trinacria porcelain hanging on the wall...I regret not having asked for the Sicilian cannoli as a closure. Glass of rosé champagne to top it off. Excellent food, impeccable service, nice environment and pleasant background music. Of course, you spend a little more than a classic pizzeria, but there is no comparison.

La decoración interior es única e hipnotizante, mostrando nada más entrar que no es un restaurante tradicional. De hecho, mezcla la cocina mantuana con platos y productos del sur de Italia. Tiratappi ofrece una excelente experiencia gastronómica.
